A great site.I lived at 81 Grange Road in the 50's my dad worked at the pit.We eventually moved to Willow crescent, Thorne.

I used to live on Wembley road i remember your family very well Eilleen you used to be big friends with my sister Olive,i used to babysit you and Errol and Philip i remember Maureen an d Michael and Gorden i still see Roy quite often ,i was a friend of Maureens when i had my eldest daughter Sharon she had Dawn and Darrel then when she had Tony i had twin girls Diane and Denise.i have been in contact with Chris but i don,t remember her as much as i remember you older ones.Eunice lawton

HI anyone know the whereabouts of Pete Whiting and Maxine (his wife)Pete was our best man, or Brian Lawson, or any of Bob Armstrongs old mates, we are still in touch with Terry McGahn who now lives in Nottingham.

Great site, Moorends was a great village back in the 60s. The Kirkpatrick family lived on Wembley road,lots of characters I remember,

I lived on Wembley rd, My mum was Annie Kirkpatrick who died in 82' My sister was Maureen Pearson who i miss very much! I lived across the rd from Mr & Mrs Kiah Jones.I remembered the whole family!I moved to America in 78'.I visited a few times it changed alot!

What a find! I lived in Moorends, 36 Bloomhill Close until I married Bob Armstrong in 1956 then lived in Thorne but came back to Newfield Close. My Dad Harry Ketley and Bob both worked at Thorne pit, we would be delighted to hear from any one that knew us! We live near Cleethorpes now but still have a son(Steve) and grand daughters living in Thorne.
